Player Development

The Player Development Programme

The aim of the Player Development Programme (PDP) is to assist our members to achieve a sport/life balance and maximise the opportunities and networks that are available as a professional rugby player during their career. In doing, this will make the transition out of rugby a smoother one. Available to all members, the programme is offered on a one to one basis in the strictest of confidence. The PDP provides consistent services nationally but is delivered locally with a Player Development Manager (PDM) working specifically with each provincial team and the women’s programme. Our goal is to assist players to undertake educational, vocational and personal development opportunities whilst pursuing and achieving excellence in professional rugby.
